Ryan Wither, Owner & Founder

Ryan was born and raised in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. From his mother, an accountant, he got his logical and linear side. And from his artistic father, he got his illogical and irreverent side. A young Ryan found himself somewhere in middle, and began studying Architectural Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder. A few years after receiving his BS in engineering, he enrolled in the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where he immersed himself in furniture, industrial design, and his growing obsession with shaping how people interact with design. He even dabbled in the fashion world, designing bent laminated clutches, jewelry and other men's and women's accessories sold in high end retailers. After earning his MFA, Ryan returned to San Diego where he worked for a custom furniture and architecture fabrication shop specializing in high end residential and commercials spaces. Eventually Ryan landed back in Colorado where found his niche in custom home building and BUILDWELL was born.
